Many anime fans have a dream of going to Japan. You’ve been seeing the country and its culture for years through anime and video games yet actually organizing the trip to Japan can be a difficult thing. That’s where we come in. In March of 2017, the Anime Addicts Anonymous Podcast hosts will be making a trip to Japan and will be taking some of you with us on what will be a truly incredible experience for all of us. We have been to Japan nearly 10 times and know every required aspect of the country very well. Consider us your tour guides.

You no doubt have many questions about the trip. A lot of information will be detailed below regarding 1) whether or not you qualify to join us, 2) the cost of the trip, 3) trip itinerary, and 4) instructions for applying to join us.
This Japan trip is intended to be about ten days in length and will occur during the middle of March 2017 in accommodate peak cherry blossom viewing. You will need a passport and will need to save a budget (as outlined below) to afford the trip. You will also need to trust us with a large sum of your money up front to make reservations and purchases for you. Many things in Japan require advance reservation including the JR Rail pass, the Ghibli Museum, the Spirited Away Bathhouse, housing, etc… and CANNOT be purchased once you are in Japan. (Usually because we aren’t Japanese citizens)
Do you qualify to join us?:
– Some of you will not be able to join us. If any of the following describes you, I apologize, we love you, but you’ll not be able to join.
- You are UNDER 18 years of age.
- You have already been to Japan.
- You are not a podcast listener.
The Cost of the Trip:
–As you can imagine, a trip to Japan is not cheap. Below we will ESTIMATE and break out the costs of the trip. The trip is about 10 days and all costs are included below. Expenses that require advance payment (to AAA Podcast) will be required up front and are highlighted.

Due to limited capacity, not everybody can join us. The process for selection will be as follows:
Essay Submission (You will submit your essay in form below. Recommend a copy paste from a Microsoft Word.)
Skype Interview (First and reserve lists generated)
First list individuals, buy fights to solidify position in trip. The deadline on flight purchases for first list individuals is July 1st.
Opportunity for backup list to fill spots vacated by first list individuals.
Essay Submission:
The essay below is your door to coming with us to Japan. It is intended to separate the people who are TRULY dying to join us from those who just casually have an interest. Please be creative and PROOF READ the essay.
