Check out our after Metrocon wrap-up post and episode!
How do I win?
Entering is simple. Write a comment to this post below on something you like about anime or Metrocon. Any length is acceptable (EX: “Panels” will work)! Be sure to include your REAL e-mail, no we won’t spam you, and a name you will remember.
Then, tune in to episode #89 in one week and listen for the name you put down to be called as our winner. If we call your name then congratulations! You are our lucky winner!
If you win please e-mail us from the e-mail you used in your post with a picture of: you at Metrocon, of a Metrocon flyer/booklet, your armband, your pass, etc. Some kind of proof you were there at the con. We will then cross-reference the e-mail we have from your post and mail you your goodies!
It’s just that simple!
Note: The Winner will have one week from when we broadcast live on Sunday the 27th at 8pm EST on Ustream to claim their prize. We put the episodes on iTunes and for download on the site normally by the following Tuesday. So if you didn’t win be sure to tune in next week for episode #90. That means you have a full week to enter!
Do I have to pay for anything?
Nope! It’s completely free to enter, just follow the rules above; you don’t even have to pay for shipping! You will of course have to be willing to provide your real address so we can mail the prize to you.
Why do I need a picture of something from the con?
This is something we do special for people who attend the cons we go to so we need proof you were there. If you want us to attend a con in your area let us know by submitting it in our contact form. If you are reading this and did not attend Metrocon this year don’t worry! We will be at Supercon next and then Otakon in Baltimore holding similar contests, and we run a number of contests for the people on our site and who listen to our show.
Good luck! Post in the comments below to enter!

HEY! I JUST SAW KIMIKO TONIGHT! And I loved tons about Metrocon. It was very welcoming and I felt so special that people wanted pictures of me. (: I’ll be dressed as Haruhi again tomorrow! And hopefully I’ll stop by the A.A.A. table and say hi.
And I totally recommend the Parapara Bootcamp to anyone! It’s tons of fun and a great way to kill some time in a very hands-on panel. FAVORITE PART OF METROCON FOR SURE.
P.S.- Totally pining for ちびさんデイト. SQUEEEEEEEE.

Metro con ftw! After 2days I hated when it ended but I’ll make sure the last day will be the best day of my life. I met many amazing people and I enjoyed every minute every second. Loved spazzing looking at all the epic items like plushie’s!!! First day I was gaara and for the last day I’m going as sasori. This was my first year to metro and it was the best! Metro staff you guys rule!!!!!

The con was pretty great all around, I really liked the variety of cosplayers. It’s not all best of the best, but it’s pretty damn solid and a lot of fun to walk around and look at.

While this was the second convention I’ve ever been to, it was amazing. I was having fun the entire weekend. I had a great time meeting the guests, especially Crispin Freeman. The best parts of Metrocon for me were Brad Swaile’s panel on Friday (where I asked him about being in the English dub of Soul Taker); Saturday was the Anime Human Chess Match, especially when most of the main cast from the Resident Evil games went up against Wesker; and Sunday was Anime Addicts Anonymous Podcast’s “The Best Anime You’ve Never Heard Of” Panel, including the first Anime that was shown: “Comedy.” I enjoyed that Anime for two reasons: One was because the animation was done by Studio 4 Degrees Celsius, the studio does the Anime sequences in the Persona games, and second is that they used music from “Ave Maria” and Franz Schubert’s “Erlkönig” (The Erl King), which are two of my favorite pieces of classical music. Overall, I thought this was a great second con for me and I hope to attend Metrocon next year.

I liked cosplaying. I was Hard Gay late on Friday, and everyone loved it. (Also, on the off chance that I win this, I will be on a plane as it happens and might take a few days to get in contact.)
