Nope! It’s completely free to enter, just follow the rules above; you don’t even have to pay for shipping! You will of course have to be willing to provide your real address so we can mail the prize to you.
Why do I need a picture of something from the con?
This is something we do special for people who attend the cons we go to so we need proof you were there. If you want us to attend a con in your area let us know by submitting it in our contact form. If you are reading this and did not attend Supercon this year don’t worry! We will be at Otakon in Baltimore next holding a similar contest, and we run a number of contests for the people on our site and who listen to our show.
Good luck! Post in the comments below to enter!

My favorite part of conventions are the people. You get to meet so many unique and creative people. People with the same interest and passion. That’s what conventions are about. People and the connections with them you make.

I had a lot of fun at Supercon so far, despite going broke because I bought gifts for people. And an Ace D. Portgas hat.

Best part about Supercon was seeing all the amazing cosplayers dressed as many of the characters from anime that I loved. I had little fan girl episodes and end up taking tons of pictures with many different people.

Anime gives more of a canvas for the film to be painted on. You’re not hindered by a budget for stunts, sets, props, anything like that. You, as the film maker, have more freedom. And it’s usually used.

What I loved about supercon was the AAA panel! Because sitting around discussing fanfics and cosplays was the greatest 🙂 I met all my new friends from supercon at the panel then anywhere else hands down! (Edited for smartphone “autocorrects” ^-^) <3 fanfics lady! (Katie?) <333

My favorite part was the shopping. There were so many different items to buy that I have never seen before. It was pretty cool seeing all these anime objects, artworks, and fanfiction commissions. I almost bought a pair of colored contact lenses.

My favorite thing about Supercon this year was seeing all the pretty great cosplay that was there. I checked out a few cool panels, met a few interesting people, and bought a ton of swag. Overall this year was pretty successful for me 🙂

what i like most about anime is how the stories they tell are sometimes hard to imagine be put to live action movies and alot of times don’t work that way and even though they are animated still mangage to tell amazing stories, like “the place promised in our early days” which just suck you in completly to story and charcaters, or “death note” which make you think is it okay to do bad for the greater good, these are just a few of the reasons why i love anime.

It’s the energy that getting so many people together with a common, and awesome, interest (read: addiction) brings to the mix. I haven’t been to all that many cons, but it’s always great to see so many other people as obsessed, in a good way, with anime as myself.

My favorite thing about anime is that it’s always adrable, the jokes are hilarious, and it teaches me about the differences of american and japanese societys. My favorite thing about supercon is the people, the cosplay contest (even though i didnt win hahaha), and the traveling to japan panel because i’ve always wanted to go to japan.

Nothing at the Convention can compare to people coming up to me and congratulating me on my acting as Ash Ketchum in the Dating Game!
I never get complimented about my geekyness by anyone. My friends usually just brush me off as somewhat weird. Only at Supercon am I accepted and congratulated for my geekdom. It is such a huge change from being seen as strange or weird to being accepted as just another person.

I Love Anime. I was born in 1987 and since the early 90’s i been an anime fan. My first 2 anime’s were Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon. I really enjoyed this Supercon. I went last year and it was great so I decided to go again this year and I am so happy I went. I went with my friend dressed up as the Mario Brothers. I believe Dressing up and meeting people who create anime or comics or fictional characters are the best parts of the Con. I think the Cos-play events where awesome this year. I Love whose line is it Anime panel cause that was funny.

The best part about the Con is that you meet all these different people that you have never met before, but because of the simple fact that all of you showed up because you like anime, you feel comfortable making friends with absolute strangers, because the strange feeling of striking up conversation is gone, since you allready have something in common.

This was my first year in Supercon, and it was simply amazing. All of the pannels were very informative and fun to attend. The video game room was also awesome, and I think we can all agree the retro games were a nice touch. The anime showings were also great. Me and my friends haven’t had as much fun ever since. Going to a place filled with other anime fans is always thrilling. I can’t wait until next year!
