Question:
3.Do know by chance which anime has sold the most copies(VHS,DVD,
Blu-Ray) since 1970? I been searching online for the answer and no
luck.
4.Do you think the endings of most anime series are bad or lacking in
some respect?
5.This is for Chiaki, what is your ideal man?
– Main Topic –
A note about how people always think it’s hard to find anime in America, but there are a ton of free, or cheap, LEGAL sources to get all kinds of anime
Points of Comparison: Dance in the Vampire Bund (new) boxed set sells for about 25.00$, Soul Eater (full series parts 1-4) sells for about 100$, FMA (slightly older anime) season 1 sells for about 40.00$
There are a lot of doubles on this list, but I added them intentionally so that if you choose to subscribe to one you know you have it there too.
Netflix: 1 month free, after that 7.99$/month 95.88$/year, CONSTANTLY adding NEW anime for a lot of content, can stream now, can plan on a number of devices, slight downside for some is only a few can you toggle between dubbed/subbed – most are dubbed. One other note, they kind of confuse anime with other stuff like “Superman/Shazam!: The return of Black Adam” in their sections… just shake your head and laugh. Not to mention you have access to all the other good non-anime movies.
Streaming: (unless otherwise noted, it’s the entire series)

Tales from Earthsea
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (Part 1 through 4)

Youtube: Well, there are the NON legal stuff on youtube but Funimation has a great channel where they put all the stuff they’re working on. But did you know they ALSO have 142 shows? Youtube search Funimation and their channel will come up. They’ll have a lot of the newer stuff they’re working on or JUST finished up there, likely before netflix. The other perk is, since they’re a partner, the episodes are in one installment, no pt 1/2/3 you get with the illegal stuff and are in HQ. Of course since it’s Funimation it’s ALL dubs. (Some of these are repeats since this is free I’ll repeat them for people who don’t want to pay). There are a lot of new anime not on this list that can help keep you up to date. Funimation is pretty much the only ones who do this, aniplex just has snippets. Yay funi??

Crunchyroll: This is a great resource for a lot of the new anime that come out, AND you can watch subbed. Can make a free account, or have a 14 day free trial for their premium service that is then $6.95/month, 83.90$ year, you can watch 1 hour after airing in Japan, watch on mobile app over 3G (otherwise you need Wi-Fi), No Ads, and 720p HD video. If you DONT do that though you get the videos from Japan like 1-3 days after it seems like, and have ads. You can browse by season, genre, or popularity. They also have Dramas and Music, a good deal for only 6.95.month
