Episode 14 – To Cliche or not to Cliche? That is the Question
In this episode we discuss the anime cliche’s we just cannot get over, from geeky guys with non-see through glasses to well endowed women with breasts that seem to be alive. We also discuss why we think these cliche’s keep coming back.
Getting there.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to comprehend your communal hatred for Darker than Black. Honestly, your explanation of the hatred towards it is bizarre for me. (Also, I think the intention of your critique of the characters was to say they are ‘uninteresting’ as opposed to ‘unlikeable’, unlikeable characters can drive the brilliance of a show).
And I’ve never heard of such an intense dislike towards it either, you are the only people I’ve found who dislike it so much. I’m not particularly upset – just intrigued. I hope you did watch it through to the end before finishing the review, at the very least.
As for the second season, I was disappointed. A new plot with only a few of the past characters remaining, it didn’t hold up to the first (so I’m sure this’ll be an abysmal show for you).
And thanks for the library of podcasts, I’m enjoying making my way through them. The first 14 (+ hentai episodes, love these) have been great. I’ll get there eventually.
I’ll comment again in another several episodes (why does no one comment).

Oh, Getting there. You have to take some reviews with a grain of salt. I’d say Darker than Back is about a 7 of 10[I don’t like the 1 to 5 scale that much]. Though, I’d say 7 of 10 only if you watch Season 1, then the OVA [it doesn’t spoil anything except a gun that isn’t that important], and then 2nd season. Hei, main guy, is kind of two faced and you don’t get the full knowledge/care of why without the whole thing. The 2nd season also adds a needed 2nd lead with more spirit.
