Episode 209 – The Return of the Most Dangerous
We do another Mystery Science-esque viewing of M.D. Geist 2 – Death Force on the weekly show. Click play at the same time and watch along to follow the insanity that ensues from this madness. Then we do a complete 180 and review the slice of life anime Gingitsune.

Glad to never started on M.D. Geist at all, I probably would’ve lost interest in anime before it started.
As for Gingitsune, I watched a couple episodes already and thought it was pretty OK (at least something I could get into). Hearing you guy’s thoughts on the series as a whole does sound like it lacks a lot to be desired for what people may have wanted to see out of this. I’m fine with the story as it is since I don’t have to think that hard about the people in it or on one specific character. This certainly feels more like a family-friendly show anyway so it was probably for the best they could get out of the 12 episodes allotted (I don’t know why 13 is never the common number anymore). I see the manga it was based on is still ongoing, so perhaps they couldn’t go to deep with what was happening there knowing they wouldn’t be able to wrap it up in that time frame, at least something animated happened at all because of this one series despite as you put it, nobody will remember this in six months (except the die hard Furries/Kemono crowd who are probably doing Rule 34 as we speak).
Shame to think the Heralds are really just “cut ‘n paste” as I put it from the way the story is plotted. I’ll try to finish it up if I can but it does get annoying watching vids from CrunchyRoll on a tablet sometimes.
