Episode 293 – Censorship in Anime
Censorship, is it really a bad thing? What does it look like in Japan? Censorship is a lot more than just some mosaic on hentai. The AAAPodcast tackles the topic of censorship in Japan, why it happens, what it happens on, and how it reflects Japanese culture.

WTH? So many mistakes on KoS S2 review. All of it easily corrected by reading the wiki entry.
Ochiai was responsible for the disaster 100 years ago. But they couldn’t outright execute him because only he had access to certain technical data. So they cloned him (Ochiai, Captain Kobayashi’s assistant is that clone) and use him to access the data and memories of the original Ochiai,
Bodies capable of photosynthesis was engineered after the disaster. There was no way the remaining 400 or so survivors could raise and feed the next generation they needed to repopulate the Sidonia. Cloning, accelerated growth, photosynthesis, automated training, all of these were in response to that need. This was explained in a flashback episode.
Suzume is not wasp, it’s sparrow. Hachi はち is bees and wasps. Suzume-bachi スズメバチ is the Asian giant hornet, so called because it’s as big as sparrow.
You never mentioned that the KoS is based on a manga. All those elements you hated are in the manga. BTW, the harem will continue to grow next season. Manga is slated to end so my guess is that once it concludes, then anime S3 will be announced.
BTW, I agree with your score. S2 was definitely weaker. They should have interspersed the harem bits between episodes instead of clustering them together.
